What are SEO Long-tail Keyphrases?

Long-tail key phrases are basically search phrases with 3,4 or more words that are related to your main strategic key words. For example, if your strategic key phrase is “leather boots” then longer phrases such as “brown leather boots” and “brown leather work boots” are termed as long-tail. They are known as long-tail (or longtail) because the frequency with which they are searched on decreases as the number of words in the phrase increases. See graph below.
