Breeze Logo

Conveying a “breeze” is no easy task since a breeze cannot be seen. It can however be heard and felt but this was clearly a problem when it came to the design of our logo. If we were to be taken seriously as a design company then we needed a logo that portrayed us as such.We laboured long and hard over many variations of the typed words Breeze & Media and performed a countless number of ligature experiments but the text identifier alone did not convey a company that specialises in design. So we set about looking at elements from nature that we could marry into a logo that wo do the job.
We looked at many variations from trees swaying in the wind to waves on the sea but the logos conveyed a feeling of strong winds as opposed to a gentle breeze. Finally, we took a photograph of a dandelion blowing gently in the wind and traced an outline of the image. We then simplified the design of the logo considerably then added some foreground interest to convey a feeling of depth. The result is as you see above and we are very proud of the uniquenes of the design.
The logo works well on a variety of media and also lends itself well to variations in colour representations so that it can be ‘adapted’ for cross branding purposes.
